The general contractor will be responsible for all aspects of construction, including but not limited to the following: Demolition and site preparation Structural and architectural modifications Installation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems Interior design and finishes Exterior upgrades and landscaping Coordination of subcontractors and materials Adherence to all relevant codes and safety regulations Scope of Work The selected general contractor will be required to perform the following tasks: Pre-Construction Planning Collaborate with SDWP, Scripps Health, EDD, and other partners to finalize the construction plans, budget, and schedule. Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize the project within budget. Secure all necessary permits and approvals before construction begins. Construction and Renovation Execute the work as per the final construction documents and specifications. Manage all aspects of the construction process, including subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and procurement of materials. Ensure all work is completed on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality. Post-Construction Complete all final inspections and obtain necessary occupancy certifications. Provide a comprehensive warranty on all work performed. Deliver as-built documentation and operational manuals for the facility.
