The project entails construction of a new Maintenance Building on the grounds of the Captains Golf Course and opposite the current Maintenance Building, and renovation of the two existing buildings. Design and construction are expected to be completed within two years. There are several key components we wish to see in the Maintenance Facility project: • 12,000 square feet for maintenance equipment storage, a carpentry/painting room, irrigation storage/repair, and small tool storage. • A 1,200 square-foot Environmental Management Center with enclosed chemical and GPS-sprayer storage, with loading capabilities. • A closed-loop equipment wash down and gasoline/diesel fueling station. • A 3,100 square-foot equipment maintenance shop, part storage, mechanical tool storage, gantry crane, and mechanic’s office. • A 2,000 square-foot administrative area, men’s and women’s locker/restrooms, break/training room. • Installation of additional overhead doors and canopies to existing buildings. The Designer will be contracted to perform (2) Phases of services. Phase I - Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Bidding, and Phase II - Construction Administration/Close-Out services.
