The vendor shall provide Temporary, Part-Time Medical Director Services for Elisabeth Ludeman Center, 114 N. Orchard Drive, Park Forest, IL 60466. The vendor shall source, screen and present an Illinois-licensed physician, as needed, to provide temporary services to the Ludeman Center to ensure coverage. This includes verifying current and expired medical licenses and controlled substance registrations, verifying employment history from references, acquiring an AMA or AOA profile, and checking customary OIG websites for Medicare/Medicaid sanctions. All Medical Directors referred by the vendor must have and show necessary qualifications outlined in 1.2.3 to perform required duties. Medical Directors are independent contractors of the Contractor and not subcontractors, agents, or employees. Under administrative direction of the Center Director, the physician serves as the Medical Director of the Elisabeth Ludeman Center; supervises medical staff; maintains the overall quality of clinical care provided to the individuals at the facility, including planning, staff administration and implementation of medical treatment regimens, individual care programs and services of the facility. Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures related to established standards for individual care, medical ethics and licensing/regulations. Minimum Requirements of Medical Director– Requires an Illinois license to practice medicine and American Specialty Board Certification, or its equivalent, in family practice. Requires three years of substantive medical administrative experience in medical/clinical or medical programs direction, planning and evaluation. Requires ability to supervise and coordinate staff and activities of other professional disciplines. Requires ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with various professional disciplines. Verification of License and outlined experience above shall be provided by the vendor when presenting a qualified candidate. Training will be provided to the Medical Director to facilitate requirements and infection control practices consistent with the Infectious Disease Control Policy. In addition, consistent with Center procedures, the Provider is required to receive a TB (Mantoux) skin test prior to staring the assigned duties or provide documentation of a test performed within the last ninety days prior to starting assigned duties.
