2.1. Provide ongoing state lobbying and consulting services including: 2.1.1. provide strategic advice and planning in the development of a comprehensive legislative affairs strategy, 2.1.2. advance Resolution Oregon’s interests with the state legislature, and 2.1.3. advise Resolution Oregon and the University of proposed or pending legislation and policy developments that may affect the Resolution Oregon/University’s strategic planning. 2.2. Advocate to secure passage of budget and policy bills supported by Resolution Oregon that advances community member’s access to community dispute resolution services. This includes but is not limited to advocacy on Dispute Resolution funding within the Statewide Programs budget, community mediation funding through Oregon Housing and Community Services, and state legislative policy priorities as set forth by Resolution Oregon. 2.3. Engage regularly with Resolution Oregon and University’s Office of Government and Community Relations, as well as Resolution Oregon’s network of providers to monitor and carryout work related to Resolution Oregon's state legislative agenda. 2.4. Assist in the drafting of legislative language and amendments. 2.5. Engage in regular communication and meetings with legislators and their staff members as well as legislative counsel, fiscal, and revenue offices on behalf of the Resolution Oregon.
