Resurfacing Repairs: Materials and Application a. Materials will meet the standard of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). All acrylic materials will be the products of a single manufacturer. Only collegiate/professional-grade acrylic color coatings with an ITF speed rating will be acceptable. b. Asphalt tennis court surfaces color coat will not be applied when air surface temperatures are below 50 degrees Fahrenheit during application or are expected within 24 hours after application. c. Asphalt tennis court surfaces color coat will not be applied when rain is expected during application or within 24 hours after application. d. All courts will be resurfaced with the current color combination. e. All surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned with pressure, loose material scraped and removed. The surface will be free of oil, grease, dirt, debris, tool marks, ridges, and valleys. f. Prior to applying material, all depressions 1/8” or deeper will be leveled with patch binder in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions using one or more coats of asphalt emulsion filler. g. Cracks less than one-half inch (½”) wide will be repaired and sealed as follows: i. Cracks will first be cleaned, all loose material removed and dried. ii. An approved and sufficient asphalt crack filler will be applied and worked into the crack with pressure to ensure that all spaces are filled with material or equivalent for best results. iii. Excess material will be removed, and once dried, the crack will be smoothed to remove any ridges
