The Economic Development Department, Real Estate Division is seeking qualified real estate appraisers to support the Valuations Team and other City departments with professional appraisal services. An approved appraiser under contract with the City may be requested to appraise a variety of real estate owned by the City, including improved properties, ground leases or remnant properties (e.g., street vacations, etc.). The City also maintains street, sewer, water and storm drain infrastructure which may require easement and temporary use areas (e.g., construction area or access) to be appraised, assuming the potential of condemnation. The Valuations Team supports the Real Estate Division’s Airports and Telecommunication Team in their appraisal needs. The Valuations Team also supports appraisal/consultation from other City departments when requested. Appraisal products requested typically involve a Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Appraisal Report or Restricted Appraisal Report. Other real estate consulting may be requested during the term of the contract.
