3.1 Stakeholder Engagement. The successful Proposer will: 3.1.1 Work with Ballmer Institute leadership to identify and engage directly with key stakeholders through structured interviews and focus groups. 3.1.2 Conduct interviews to gather views on the Ballmer Institute’s academic programs, community-engagement, research focus areas, approaches for accelerating impact, establishing interdisciplinary educational programs, and any other aspects identified by the Ballmer Institute. 3.2 In-Person Workshop. The successful Proposer will: 3.2.1 Design and facilitate workshops to develop team responsibility and authority, engage with the results of the stakeholder interviews, and to build consensus around the strategic plan goals and direction with internal stakeholders. 3.2.2 Coordinate participant invitations, define information inputs and outputs, structure workshop sequence and format. 3.3 Develop Strategic Plan. The successful Proposer will: 3.3.1 Use interview and workshop findings to develop a draft strategic plan for the Ballmer Institute. 3.3.2 Work with Ballmer Institute leadership to review and refine draft into a finalized version of the strategic plan for implementation. 3.3.3 Central components of the final plan should include: 3.3.3.1 A 5-year strategic plan and design that considers Ballmer Institute’s existing strengths, areas of opportunity, and integrates feedback from stakeholders. Strategic plan should address how the Ballmer Institute’s can optimize its structure and best utilize its resources to meet its vision. The report should be easy to interpret, share, and utilize regularly.
