UCC is undertaking the remodel of the existing Community & Workforce Training Building located on the UCC campus. The existing building is estimated to have originally been built in 1966. The building is approximately 13,000 square-feet was originally designed for use as classrooms, a science laboratory, storage, and lecture room. Prior updates to the building include creating computer lab space, community workforce training rooms, and a multi-medium room. The project involves the remodel/renovation of current instructional and laboratory spaces, which includes project components listed below. This is not an all-inclusive list and should not be viewed as such. The project may contain unforeseen conditions. See Exhibit 1 Schematic Design Proposal. • Asbestos Abatement. An abatement study and survey will be provided by the College. • Removal of built-in cabinetry and desks. • Rewiring of electrical, lighting, data, and mechanical components, and information technologies. • HVAC additions and modifications. • Interior wall finishes. • Painting of all rooms. • Flooring work, to be determined. • Final project custodial cleaning. Relocation of building network system. • Installation of additional cameras to the building. • Installation of proximity card reader access points. • Removal of all debris. • Responsible for all permit filing, cost and fees associated with the project. • Furniture, fixtures and equipment are to be included in the overall project cost. Responsibility of procurement and supply of these items will be clarified at a later stage. • Enclosure of two breezeways with installation of entry/exit proximity card reader doors.
