Equipment shall be new, not used and of the current year model and must be NFPA compliant. Must take 35 used (both functional and non-functional) Motorola APX 6000XE Multi-Band radios MFD 12/2016 in trade for some form of monetary compensation for new radio purchase. 2. Hand-Held Radios: (a) Single, Dual, Multi-Band operations (VHF, UHF, 700/800 MHz) (b) Rugged casing that resists extreme heat, moisture, and drops. (c) Durable LCD display screens front and top. (d) Large volume and channel switches located on top of radio for gloved hand use. (e) Large PTT button on side of radio with built-in noise canceling microphone. (f ) High output speaker (g) Minimum high-capacity battery 4,900mAh (h) Auxiliary port for corded microphone/speaker extension option. (i ) Preferred Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth capable (j ) Belt clip for ease of carry (k) Desktop charger (l ) In-house & field programmability preferred (1.) Radios must be programmed to local channels upon purchase & ready for use. 3. Portable Truck Radios: (a) Minimum Single Band operations (700/800 MHz) (b) Radios must be programmed to local channels upon purchase & ready for use. (c) Must be installed in new Fire trucks when they arrive 2nd / 3rd quarter 2025.
