Base Bid – Building 55B, 1st Floor Restroom Renovation • 1st Floor Restrooms within the 55B construction documents. o Basement and 3rd Floor are excluded from this project. 2nd Floor work is part of Add Alternate #1 as described below. • Asbestos Abatement – The University has had an initial Asbestos Report completed, however has not retained an asbestos abatement contractor. The contractor shall retain a certified asbestos abatement contractor for the necessary asbestos abatement scope • Removal of existing flooring and base and install new • Removal of existing walls • New metal stud walls • Removal of existing plumbing fixtures • New plumbing fixtures • Removal of existing partitions • New partitions • Remove existing casework, vanities, and associated wall-mounted accessories • Remove the existing finish ceiling to include all metal framing, supports, bulkheads, and soffits, and install new. • New lighting • Associated Demo of existing terminals and ductwork downstream of terminals • Associated duct work remaining in the room shall be cleaned, disinfected, and sealed. The duct shall be capped for future HVAC renovation project • All horizontal Heating Hot Water Supply (HHWS) and Heating Hot Water Return (HHWR) piping to be removed completely and replaced with new • Select electrical work • Select life safety system work.
