The City of Germantown invites proposals from qualified parties interested in investing in, developing, operating, and maintaining a new financially-sustainable Premier Sports and Recreation Complex that will facilitate multiple sports including, but not limited to, soccer, baseball, football, lacrosse, and rugby on synthetic turf fields. Additionally, initial conceptual plans for the complex include approximately 50,000 to 100,000 square feet of indoor space, sports performance training and medicine capacity, playgrounds, walking paths and natural wetland areas to enhance the quality of services, facilities, and experiences for residents as well as visitors. The City has already acquired approximately 55 acres of undeveloped land for the complex and supporting public amenities, and has budgeted additional capital funds to match state grant opportunities for site development readiness beginning in 2025. Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the City seeks to select a proposer qualified and experienced with similar developments to be their private development partner and operator (the “Developer/Operator”) to: (1) make the new Premier Sports and Recreation Complex a state-of-the art venue for regional athletic tournaments, including competitive, recreational and interscholastic sports, and entertainment and community events; and (2) provide a range of opportunities for community recreation and public engagement.
