The project consists of the preparation of a preliminary design summary for the upgrade of the 8th Street and Clifty lift stations followed by the development of construction drawings and specifications. The Clifty lift station receives flow from a large gravity sewer area as well as three remote lift stations outside the City limits. The lift stations pumping to the Clifty lift station are being upgraded to increase capacity in 2024, and there are potential growth areas in the Clifty lift station basin. The 8th Street lift station receives flow from the area shown in the attached figure, which has seen significant residential growth over the past 8 years. The 8th Street lift station also receives flow from Driftwood Utilities, which has a new significant industrial user. Both lift stations included in this project are regional, triplex stations and should meet CCU lift station standards.
