The vendor shall source Medical Director Services for Elgin Mental Health Center, 750 S. State Street Elgin, IL 60123. 1.2.1. The vendor shall source, screen, and present an Illinois-licensed physician, as needed, to provide services to the Elgin Mental Health Center to ensure coverage. This includes verifying current and expired medical licenses and controlled substance registrations, verifying employment history from references, acquiring an AMA or AOA profile, and checking customary OIG websites for Medicare/Medicaid sanctions. All Medical Directors referred by the vendor must have and show necessary qualifications outlined in 1.2.3 to perform required duties. Medical Directors are independent contractors of the Contractor and not subcontractors, agents, or employees. 1.2.2. Under administrative direction of the Elgin Mental Health Center Hospital Administrator, the physician serves as the Medical Director of Elgin Mental Health Center; supervises medical staff; maintains the overall quality of clinical care provided to the individuals at the facility, including planning, staff administration and implementation of medical treatment regimens, individual care programs and services of the facility. Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures related to established standards for individual care, medical ethics, and licensing/regulations.
