The project is described as: Otero County Courthouse, approximately 7.2-acre suite at Mesa Village Drive in Alamogordo, NM. The project will be two floors and a basement, approximately 43,000 sf. The new Otero County Courthouse includes a detention basement with sally port, holding cells, interview rooms, office area, and circulation and building support spaces. The first floor includes lobby with security check-in, jury assembly area, clerk’s office, administration area, self-help area, district court programs office area, two hearing rooms, and circulation and building support spaces. The second floor includes a ceremonial courtroom, 3 standard courtrooms, judge’s chambers for 4 judges, administration areas, and circulation and building support spaces.
