Provide services to victims of crime in Connecticut. Funding for this project is provided by the U.S Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), Victims for Crim Act Victim Assistance Grant Program (VOCA-VA) Direct service activities eligible for funding are as follows: 1. Immediate emotional, psychological and physical health and safety - Services that respond to immediate needs of crime victims, including, but not limited to: a. Crisis intervention services b. Accompanying victims to hospitals for medical examinations c. Hotline counseling d. Safety planning e. Emergency food, shelter, clothing and transportation f. Short-term (up to 45 days) in-home care and supervision services for children and adults who remain in their homes when the offender/caregiver is removed.
