The Contractor shall, at the direction of DPH, collect, package, transport, and dispose of wastes as described herein; The biohazardous waste streams are generated from operational activities of the Georgia Public Health Laboratories. The biohazardous waste disposal services include providing properly marked biohazardous 4.3 cubic feet waste boxes, red plastic biohazard bags, and address labels. The most common types of biohazardous waste to be disposed of includes: Biological And Human Tissues Infectious Laboratory Waste; Food Products; Needles, Syringes, and Other Sharps; Cultures and Slides; Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and Hepatitis Waste; Body Fluids and Secretions; Gloves, Lab Coats, and Other Personal Protective Equipment; Animal Parts, Tissues, and Fluids; and Carcasses Contaminated with Infectious Agents Contagious to Humans.
