2.1. Phase 1: Removal of Existing Boiler County will work with Contractor to prepare the area removal and install of new boiler. County seeks to initiate this project in late Spring during mild climate temperature. • Contractor will provide County with project plans and specifications • Existing boiler is to be demolished and removed and disposed of off-site • Demolish hot water return and supply back to pre-designated point • Demo diesel fuel lines and install valve and plug to cap-off • Demo flue at ceiling, cap flue at roof roof to roof line with sheet metal with weather-tight cap (if needed, to be determined) 2.2. Phase 2: Installation of New Boiler The County will furnish electric boiler matching existing capacity. Existing pump and expansion tank to remain. • Furnish and install piping with new insulation. • Install new electrical circuit for new boiler. • Install new piping with new insulation. • Furnish and install new boiler integration into existing controls (web-controlled by Pacific West). • Run condensate line to existing drain and install wire and new thermostat for new unit. • Factory start-up commissioning and training for County Staff. • Perform start-up and provide warranty information. 2.3. Project Requirements • The Administration building normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. , excluding holidays. Contractor shall mitigate down time of boiler function with the least amount of disruption to County employees and the general public. • Contractor shall repair any/all construction-related damage to building. • Contractor shall restore all construction-related areas to original condition after installation is completed. • Contractor shall ensure any and all penetrations are fire-sealed and weather tight.
