Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Parenting Education Programming for Incarcerated Parents Potential vendors must include in the proposal a detailed description of the curriculum(s) and approach to be used. There must be separate evidencebased curriculum for men and for women. Proposals must include validated evidence of the effectiveness of the proposed curriculum and approach. Rather than providing copies of documentation supporting the effectiveness of the curriculum and approach, citations and links to this information are preferred. The parenting education curriculum should include, but not be limited to, information on the following topics: • Impact of incarceration including child/family victim impact • Communication skills in relationships to being an absent parent • Parenting skills • The re-unification process following incarceration
