2.2 SCOPE OF WORK The services include, but are not limited to aquatic weed control, shoreline weed control, algae control, and compliance with environmental regulations as follows: a. Aquatic Weed Control • Conduct monthly inspections of the canals. • Apply appropriate aquatic herbicides and surfactants to control unwanted and invasive aquatic vegetation. • Utilize systemic herbicides to selectively manage submersed and floating vegetation, promoting the growth of desirable plant species. b. Shoreline Weed Control • Inspect the shoreline monthly for invasive vegetation (e.g., cattails, phragmites). • Apply herbicides and surfactants to control unwanted shoreline vegetation. • Maintain areas where stone has been installed for erosion control, ensuring that unwanted growth is treated effectively. c. Algae Control • Inspect the canals monthly for algae presence. • Apply algaecides, herbicides, and surfactants as needed to control algae and maintain water quality.
