The project involves a uniform application of herbicide spray mixtures to the turf areas of the various routes shown in the plans and special provisions. The application shall consist of treating all the turf along the right of way of specified routes. It is expected that application of chemicals will be conducted off-road, and the Contractior shall be expected to use equipment equipped with off road/high floatation tires that’s appropriate to minimize damage to the turf and right of way. With regard to the interstate, the medians shall be sprayed with spraying occuring from the shoulder of the driving lane to the right of way line. Interchanges within the interstate contract limits shall be sprayed as shown on the plans.
