General. The rumble strips shall consist of multiple layers of Preformed Plastic Pavement Marking, Type B - Standard - Line 6" (White). The multiple layers shall be placed as to maintain a ½” thickness over the length of the strip. The temporary rumble strips shall be placed as shown on the Traffic Control and Protection, Plan Details or as directed by the Engineer. Advance Signage. In advance of the temporary rumble strips, advance signage shall be furnished and installed as shown on the Traffic Control and Protection, Plan Details. Method of Measurement. This work will be measured for payment as each, where each is defined as follows. • A set of three temporary rumble strips across a single lane of pavement on freeways or expressways in conjunction with Traffic Control and Protection Standard 701400 and each set of temporary rumble strips will be measured for payment once. • A set of five temporary rumble strips across a single lane of pavement on 2l, 2w highways or multiple lane highways (non -interstate), in conjunction with Traffic Control and Protection Standard 701316 or Traffic Control and Protection Standard 701321 and each set of temporary rumble strips will be measured for payment once.
