3.1. Review Existing Manual: 3.1.1. Conduct a comprehensive review of the “red lines” of the 2015 Engineering Design & Construction Standards and Details Manual 3.1.2. Identify conflicts, duplications and/or repetition of the other City regulations, codes, forms, flowcharts, checklists and standards 3.2. Update Design and Construction Standards: 3.2.1. Revise and update the 2015 Engineering Design & Construction Standards based on the “red line” documents provide by the City 3.2.2. Develop clear and concise user-friendly documents that are easy to follow, easy to understand, easy to reference and easy to use while updating with the City of Glendale logo and Branding policy. 3.3. Department Coordination Meeting(s): 3.3.1. Before commencing any work in revising the 2015 Engineering Design & Construction Standards the consultant must meet with the specified departments to get an understanding of each department comments 3.3.1.1. Engineering Department 3.3.1.2. Transportation Department 3.3.1.3. Parks Department 3.3.1.4. Water Department 3.3.2. The consultant will be responsible for scheduling the in-person meetings. An allowance of at least 4 meetings shall be set aside by the consultant to meet with each of the departments referenced above. 3.4. Development Review Process: 3.4.1. Provide definitions for the types of changes and the steps needed for updating the guidelines 3.4.2. Submit 50%, 90% and 100% documentation for staff using Bluebeam Review 3.4.3. Provide staff three (3) weeks for review and comment 3.4.4. In addition to the Department Coordination Meetings, plan for six (6) one (1) hour meetings held via Teams and at least one (1) in-person one (1) hour meeting 3.4.5. Prepare a project implementation schedule and update the schedule as needed throughout the process 3.5. Final Documentation: 3.5.1. Must be available electronically, able to be posted on the City of Glendale’s website with hyperlinks to the Table of Contents and reference to details
