OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE: Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center seeks vendor for annual hood inspection, cleaning, and repair; quarterly fire alarm and sprinkler system inspection; and a semi-annual ANSUL hood system inspection. SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES REQUIRED: The Vendor shall supply all equipment and services to complete semi-annual inspections to the fire suppression system located in the Dietary kitchen area located at Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center. Inspections must comply with NFPA regulations and must be performed by a NFPA certified professional. Upon completion of each semi-annual inspection, a report shall be provided to Chief Engineer and Business Administrator at Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center with at least the following items inspected. Distribution piping secured. Nozzles located properly; caps installed. Remote pull unobstructed. Pressure gauge in normal range. Hood and filters visually clean. Automatic detection fully operational and compliant. Remote manual pull station operational and compliant. Gas fuel supply inspected. Cartridge weight within specification. Cylinder within hydrostatic test date. Annual kitchen hood cleaning of one (1) double hood and one (1) single hood with two (2) exhaust fans must be cleaned in accordance with NFPA-96, section 11.6.1. Quarterly sprinkler and fire alarm inspections. The entire exhaust system shall be cleaned by a properly trained, qualified, and certified company or person(s) acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction in accordance with Section 11.4. Hoods, grease removals devices, fans, ducts, and other appurtenances shall be cleaned to remove combustible contaminants. For procurements conducted in BidBuy, the State may include in this contract the BidBuy Purchase Order as it contains the agreed Supplies and/or Services.
