I. INTRODUCTION This request for summaries of qualifications is for the Small Procurement of preliminary & design engineering (PE) and/or construction engineering inspection (CEI) services for locally managed projects. These projects may be funded by a mix of funds that may include, but not necessarily be limited to, one or more of the following: A. Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ) Program, B. TDOT Optional Safety Program, C. TDOT Spot Safety Program, D. TDOT Surface Transportation Program (STP), E. Other TDOT programs, F. Other State-funded programs, G. Other Federal programs, H. City of Alcoa and/or other local government funds. The PE and/or CEI services will be accomplished in accordance with the applicable federal, state, and/or local regulations, policies and standards relevant to the respective project(s). Firms submitting statements of qualifications for these projects shall be approved by TDOT for such services. After evaluation of submittals by Alcoa staff, one or more firms may be selected to provide PE and/or CEI services for a respective project. Locally managed projects for which these services are being considered may include, but not be limited to, the following: A. Traffic signal improvements, B. Various intersection improvements, C. Street resurfacing, D. Greenway trail extension(s), E. Sidewalk extension(s), F. Street & drainage improvements, G. Street & drainage construction, H. Utility construction and/or relocation. Respondents to this RFQ may be considered for PE and/or CEI services for locally managed projects for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the deadline of this RFQ.
