The Town of Plainville, Connecticut (the “Town” or the “Owner”) is seeking Construction Manager at Risk (“CMR”) services from qualified firms for the renovation of the Middle School of Plainville (“MSP”). This project will modernize the school to meet the State of Connecticut’s "Renovate as New" criteria, which makes up to 65.36% of the project costs eligible for state reimbursement. In March 2024, Plainville voters approved a $61,915,000 appropriation for this project through referendum, authorizing the issuance of bonds and notes to finance the portion not covered by grants. The Town, through its Capital Projects Building Committee, is advancing this project in collaboration with Kaestle Boos Associates (“KBA”), the selected architectural and engineering design firm. The CMR will work closely with the Town and project team to ensure successful completion within budget and on schedule.
