The Project scope will include but not be limited to design review and construction of five (5) train station platforms along the Waterbury Branch Line as follows: • New 350 LF high-level heated fiber platforms, stairs, ramps and canopies supported by a combination of micropiles, spread footings and cast-in-place foundations; • Railroad track realignment; • Parking lot and drainage improvements; • Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facilities as described in the major items of work below; and • Signal hut relocation. The Project also includes historic interior building renovations at the Derby/Shelton Station, as well as building out 1,570 SF of the interior of the existing Republican-American building at Waterbury Union Station to include an indoor waiting room area.
