The Greenwich Public Schools (GPS) is soliciting and qualifications statements and cost proposals from architects and consultants to provide condition assessments and feasibility studies to update the performance platforms, theatrical equipment (including lighting systems, sound amplification systems, drapery and curtains fabrics and tracks, grid iron and support / attachments), etc. at all of the 11 existing GPS elementary schools and 3 middle schools. The teams will also be required to assess the ADA accessibility of existing platforms and provide recommendations for addressing these deficiencies. In addition to the above the team shall also assess existing performance platform materials, finishes and suitability for supporting both drama and performing arts and other uses. The team will also assess the existing acoustical treatments of the performance platform spaces including investigating existing acoustical surfaces for rear and side walls of platforms and stages, ceilings and other systems to improve space functions to support speech and musical productions. General stage housekeeping lighting and controls shall also be assessed in this study
