The Scope of Work includes the following: Restroom Renovations • Complete renovation of each set of restrooms on each of the three floors of the Annex (exclusive of the restrooms in the First Floor Public Information suite). Each floor’s set of restroom facilities includes Men’s and Women’s multi-occupant restrooms, adjacent single-use unisex restrooms and janitor’s closets. All plumbing fixtures, restroom accessories, light fixtures, and exhaust fan systems will be replaced. New finishes will be installed throughout, including new floor and wall materials and new suspended acoustical ceiling systems. Renovations to result in full ADA and accessibility code compliance. An insufficient hot water issue is to be rectified. Egress/Life Safety and Accessibility Improvements • Review Egress/Life Safety for the common areas of all three floors (exclusive of the interior areas of the First Floor Public Information suite). Provide egress plans for entire Hall of Records Annex building. Design modifications and prepare construction documents for code compliance, life safety, and accessibility as required. • Review existing fire escape. Design additional and/or modified handrails and guardrails and other components such as landing and tread surfaces as required. Investigate structural integrity of fire escape and design modifications as required. • Design modifications for the main interior stair guardrails and handrails as required for code and ADA accessibility requirements. • Review the interior path between the Hall of Records Annex and adjacent Hall of Records building, which consists of a linking bridge element at the Second Floor, and design modifications to achieve code and accessibility compliance.
