A summary of the anticipated construction scope and issues within the 2025 WPCF Upgrades project includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Bar Screen: • Removal and replacement of the existing bar screen equipment, connections, and appurtenances. • Disconnecting and reconnecting power and control wiring from the existing bar screen and to the new bar screen. • Fabrication and installation of a screenings chute to connect the new bar screen to the existing screenings washer compactor and appurtenances. 2. Screenings Washer Compactor (Alternate Bid for Contractor’s Bid Price): • Removal and replacement of the existing screenings washer compactor equipment, connections, and appurtenances. • Disconnecting and reconnecting of the new screenings washer compactor equipment to the new bar screen equipment and screenings chute. 3. Effluent Tertiary Filters: • Removal and replacement of the butterfly valves and operators for both the backwash waste valves in the center column. Removal and replacement of the overall isolation valves and operators. There are four (4 EACH) backwash waste valves, and they are 16-Inch diameter. There are four (4 EACH) isolation valves, and they are 20-Inch diameter. • Removal and replacement of the pneumatic valve control airlines. • Removal and replacement of the underdrain filter nozzle assemblies (3,625 EACH). • Removal and replacement of the filter anthracite media. • Installation of special coatings for the lower inner cell tank walls. • Installation of a grated stainless-steel platform in the filter center column, and other miscellaneous work.
