The project aims to design and build a High-Pressure Processing Facility at the location of the planned Central Oahu Food and Agriculture Hub in Wahiawa, Oahu located on a portion of the parcel identified by Oahu Tax Map Key Number 1-7-002:009. This facility shall be designed to house two HPP 525 L Machine that has a throughput of over 7,000 pounds per hour. The contractor will be responsible for designing and building the space, applying for any building permits and approvals necessary to complete the facility, acquiring, and installing all necessary infrastructure and equipment. 8.1.1 Design Phase: Consultation and Planning: • Ensure that the design submitted to this RFP meet the specific requirements and preferences required by ADC, including consulting with national and local industry stakeholders, and the facility operator on the design of the facility, and considering design recommendations of the University of Hawaii Community Design Center contained in the “Preliminary Summary for High Pressure Processing (HPP) in Hawaii”, submitted to the Agribusiness Development Corporation on May 2022. See, Attachment D. • Obtain all necessary federal, state, and county permits and approvals, as applicable, including but not limited to State and County entitlements and zoning approvals for both the facility location and the intended uses for the entire parcel, identified by Oahu Tax Map Key 7-1-002:009. • Ensure utility hookup to the utilities and infrastructure being developed by the Department of Accounting and General Services, Public Works Division. • Ensure that the design of the facility allows for possible expansion of the building’s footprint at a later time.
