The Sheridan Schools district security system is a complex and sophisticated system of Shooter detection, access control, IP video, intrusion and Mass notification all tied together. Vendor Should be capable and fluent and must provide certification documents in Kantech, Exacq, Shooter detection systems(SDS), Axis cameras, Axis Audio manager, HIK vision and DSC as well as Network topography, IP SIP protocols and VAPIX commands in order to service or alter the system. Any vendor not capable of providing certifications in all these systems will be rejected. All security system devices operate on their own private 10GIG fiber network maintained by Sheridan schools. Each school or building has the ability to lock down just their individual building or the entire district via wall mounted buttons. When activated via Shot detection system, several actions take place. 1 – SDS system sends out text messages and emails to a predetermined list of individuals. This list must be updated at least twice per year. 2- SDS activates inputs to the Access control system, mass notification system, intrusions systems, video system, Sherriff’s dept SDS client stations and the Control 4 system. 3- Access system locks down and inactivates all but first responders, school selected officers and SRO badges 4 – Mass notification system plays custom messages at each school that must be updated each year. 5 - Control 4 system at Ft Logan plays its custom message though all speakers at the building. 6 – DSC alarm panels are activated to call the monitoring company. 7 – Video pre-alarm and post alarm recording is increased 8 - Client stations at the Arapahoe Sheriffs dept dispatch center are activated to bring up a map showing the floor and sensor that was activated in the SDS system. There are 11 of these clients.
