The San Diego Community College District is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from California licensed and qualified DSA approved Testing Labs and Geotechnical Engineers to provide comprehensive professional services on upcoming projects including new construction and renovation at City College, Mesa College, Miramar College, and the College of Continuing Education seven campuses. These services will be used in the implementation of the remaining projects covered in Measure HH - a $3.5 billion bond passed by the voters of San Diego on November 5, 2024. The District is planning to award multiple as-needed contracts for a period of up to five years. Scope of Services The following describes the services the selected Firms will perform on an as-needed basis for various District projects: 1. Provide comprehensive material testing and special inspection as required by DSA and the contract documents under the direction of the District Architect and the Project Inspector. 2. Provide subsurface exploration and collection of representative subsurface samples of foundation media as necessary for laboratory analysis. 3. Provide on-site field investigation and observation during grading, excavation and sub-grade excavations and preparation. 4. Provide laboratory testing, as required of the representative samples recovered to measure pertinent soil parameters or engineering properties, including hazmat in soil. 5. Perform soil engineering analysis and evaluation of the field and laboratory test data to provide the District with earthwork and foundation recommendations. 6. Review existing soils reports from nearby projects. 7. Prepare a written report that includes recommendations from the evaluation of field investigation and observation and/or laboratory test results of each identified task, that is suitable for submission to the State reviewing agency (Division of the State Architect) and adequate to fulfill the technical data with recommendations needed by the Architectural/Structural design team. 8. Provide and/or review bid specifications for earth work 9. Provide required documentation for DSA project certification.
