St. Tammany Parish Governement (STPG) Department of Utilities (DU) is seeking bids to supply Chlorinated Solid 3” (three-inch) Tablets for the Parish Wastewater Treatment Facilities. DU owns and operates over fifty treatment facilities located throughout St. Tammany Parish. DU requires the Provider to provide Regal Chemical Compressed 50 LB. 3" (8 oz.) Chlorine Tablets, or approved equal, with sanitizing power of 90% available chlorine and built-in chlorine stabilizer to maintain proper chlorine levels in sunlight with a chemical compsotion of 98-100% Trichloro-striazinetrione 0-1.9 impurities <1% Boric Acid (H3BO3), with a pH rating of 2.9-3.5 @ 25 degree celsius (1% solution) and a solunie level of 0.98 NG/100 G @ 20 degree celsius for automatic chlorinators and/or floaters. The awarded contract is on a unit price “as needed” basis according to the specifications provided. DU reserves the right to order Chlorinated Tablets at any time during the year and in any quantity, with no minimum order. On average for the last two (2) years, the Parish placed approximately ten (10) orders each year and each year approximately 13,200 Pounds were ordered. No past bid ordering or performance data will be available as this is the first year the Parish is soliciting for this product.
