3.1 SCOPE OF WORK This RFP seeks a vendor to deliver a fully operational suite of public safety technologies, including CAD, RMS, mobile devices, and AVL, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal performance. The system should support the University's mission, goals, and objectives by enhancing the efficiency of public safety personnel in preventing, addressing, and responding to public safety issues through smart resource management. Vendors who respond to this RFP must ensure that they have sufficient staff who are skilled and competent to perform the services described in the RFP. Additionally, anyone who accesses the CAD or RMS systems that have information protected by the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) must have passed a mandatory criminal background check and completed CJIS requirements prior to accessing the DPS systems. The selected vendor will be asked to migrate a subset of data currently within CAD and RMS from the current platform, CentralSquare Technologies OneSolution to the proposed system. Vendors are required to submit a comprehensive specification sheet that outlines the optimal configuration of their system. The specification sheet should include details such as the number of servers, storage space requirements, including on-premises, cloud-based, or hybrid solutions, database server specifications, mobile device usage specifications, bandwidth needs, and other relevant details. This information will help the selection committee evaluate the vendor's proposed system and determine whether it meets the requirements outlined in the RFP.
