The Greensboro Police Department is soliciting requests for bids for a contractor to provide promotion validation services to the Greensboro Police Department for the development, validation, and administration of a customized promotional process for the ranks of Corporal, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. The company must develop a job analysis to identify at each rank: Job Duties and Tasks Task Criticality Task Frequency Prerequisite Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities; The company must then prepare a testing plan as required for each rank to include multiple-choice exams and/or assessment centers to be built from source material provided by the Department (i.e. City Policy, Department Directives, published text books on supervision, laws, and liability issues). The company must develop and validate each component for administration as needed for each rank. Additionally the company will be responsible for: Preparing Candidates regarding administration, scoring, and appeals Administering written examinations Training Assessors Administering assessment centers o An assessment center being a scenario based exercise process where candidates’ responses are digitally video recorded, allowing assessors to review responses remotely at a later time. o Vendor would be responsible constructing and designing the content of the scenario based exercises..
