The School District of Pickens County, hereafter referred to as the “District”, “PCSD” or “SDPC”, is accepting sealed proposals from qualified South Carolina Licensed General Contractors for Interior & Exterior Renovations, demolition, sitework, paving, etc. at the old Pickens Middle School (467 Sparks Lane, Pickens) which will become a new Career and Technology Center in Pickens attendance area. In addition to this project the District may utilize CM @ Risk GC services for other projects in the CIP as well as other new projects identified and approved during the contract term. The total number and/ or size of projects that will be under this contract is not known. The District does not guarantee any number of projects or a total amount. Pickens Career and Technology Center- The facility is a two-story building totaling approximately 35,000 sq./ ft., previously occupied as Pickens Middle School in Pickens, SC. The building will be renovated to serve as a Career and Technology Center, a site for the EmpowerUp workforce development program, and will house an employee childcare center for SDPC. The renovation will consist of site work, paving, exterior renovations, interior renovations, electrical upgrades, HVAC renovations, etc.
