Bridge Deck Overlay for Bridge No. 1105400 on MD 42 over Youghiogheny River. The existing 4 span steel girder bridge has span lengths of 93’, 130’, 170’, and 167’ for a length of 560’, with a proposed clear roadway of 44’-0”. Project includes removal of a portion of the concrete bridge deck surface, placement of a concrete overlay, replacement of the existing expansion joints, repairs to the existing parapets, and complete painting of the existing structural steel. Project includes, 0.05 miles of approach roadway work, placement of new traffic barriers, signing, and installation of permanent pavement striping. Traffic will be detoured during construction and the project includes an Incentive/Disincentive clause.
