Provide United States-based virtual medical scribe services via a secure connection. The University is not interested in an AI solution. Work hours for virtual scribe services will comprise the period between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM CST. -Scribes will have scribe access and permissions to Epic. While seeing patients, scribes will enter a patient's chart for data entry and the clinician will have read-only access to the chart to review clinical data. After each patient encounter, scribes will finalize documentation for the clinician's review and final signature. Scribes will endeavor to complete all text/data entry for a specific patient visit encounter within five minutes after the end of visit. Final signoff of all chart elements will remain the clinician's responsibility and timed at their discretion within the bounds of existing HIM policies for clinical documentation. -Provide a high level of service dedicated to ophthalmology appointments. -Provide service during the designated University appointment times. -Monitor and implement methods of improving service as needed. -Utilization of Kaleidoscope for scribe input. -In addition to utilization of Kaleidoscope for scribe input, scribes will be expected to input data/text into the following Epic modules: Imaging and Procedures activity, Orders, Charge Capture, Visit Diagnoses, Problem List, Medications, Clinic Notes, Letters/Communication activity, and SmartSets activity. -Provide services in a fully HIPAA-compliant manner. -Fully execute a University of Iowa Business Associate Agreement (University of Iowa Template is required and attached in the attachments section of this bid.) -A separate device for maintaining communication between the scribe and clinician will be necessary. -Post-deployment surveys of clinicians will be assessed to measure accuracy rates.
