Brunswick County is soliciting sealed proposals for removal and disposal of lime residuals generated at the Brunswick County 211 Water Treatment Plant located at 4305 SouthportSupply Road SE, Southport, NC 28461 (the “WTP”). Lime residuals are a byproduct of the lime softening process utilized in the production of potable water and have been concentrated through settling ponds and drying beds. These residuals are typically a 50-75% cake solid and have been classified as “Beneficial Fill” by the NC Division of Waste Management Environmental Compliance Branch.
