The City of Frederick’s Mentor-Protégé program (MPP) is a contracted project based collaborative program between eligible Prime Contractors (Mentors) and emerging or existing minority, and/or woman owned” sub-contractors (Proteges) with the goal of increasing the overall business capabilities of the protégé, improving their ability to win City contracts, submit more competitive proposals, operate as a “Prime Contractor” on future projects, and improve their internal business operations. The mentor firm will work closely with the protégé and guide them through all phases of the program project from award to completion and provide instruction, feedback, and resources. Both firms will participate in regular evaluations to assess the protégé’s progress in meeting the program milestones. This program is limited to the awarded program project only and will conclude when the awarded contract concludes
