The selected vendor will conduct a two-part study (with the option for a third part) using statistically representative methods to examine and evaluate New Hampshire food waste generators, as well as infrastructure for management of surplus food and food waste. 1) Food Waste Generator Study – Proposals must describe the methods and resources that the vendor will utilize to categorize and inventory the sources, quantity, types and characteristics of surplus food and food waste currently generated by New Hampshire generators affected by the food waste disposal ban, hereinafter referred to as affected entities (AE). a) The resulting dataset must include consistent and representative data from the following sectors: • Farms • Grocery stores and supermarkets • Specialty food retail stores • Supercenters • Restaurants • Hotels/Resorts/Convention centers • Food banks/pantries • Hospitals/Nursing homes • K-12 schools (public and private) • Colleges and universities • Food manufacturers/processors • Food wholesalers/distributors • Large event venues/Festivals • Malls • Correctional facilities • Casinos • Large office buildings • Large multi-family complexes
