The Pump Station #11 and Force Main Replacement - Project #1820 & #1821 consists of building a new replacement wastewater pump station and sewer replacement force main, as generally described in Section 01 11 00 and as more fully described in the complete Bid Documents. The work will be divided into two (2) divisions as follows: Division I 1. One triplex submersible pump station (two (2) duty and one (1) back-up pump) operated with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and with a 12-foot x 20-foot castin-place concrete wet-well. 2. One building for enclosure of pump control panels and SCADA telemetry. Electrical / Controls Building designed to meet the City's architectural requirements. 3. Installation of emergency diesel generator. 4. All related yard piping, process piping, instrumentation, electrical equipment and wiring, and site improvements. 5. Installation of approximately 132 LF of 30-inch gravity, 184 LF of 15-inch gravity, and 18 LF of 12-inch gravity sewer. 6. Demolition of existing pump station once new pump station and force main is in operation. 7. Installation of approximately 95 LF of 20-inch restrained joint DIP force main. Division II 1. Installation of approximately 11,110 LF of 20-inch force main and appurtenances. The new force mains include 2,707 LF of 20-inch force main installed by horizontal directional drilling, and 865 LF of 20-inch and force main installed within steel casing. 2. Jack-and-bore installation of steel casing under one highway, two SCDOT roads, and three railroad crossings. 3. Installation of combination air/vacuum valves at regular intervals and system high points.
