Clemson University is accepting proposals to establish an annual contract for climate-smart supply chain traceability consulting services. The initial term of the contract is for one (1) year with an option to renew for two (2) additional years at one-year intervals. The awarded contractor will independently assist the Clemson Market Development team of the Climate-Smart Grown in SC project to trace climate-smart peanuts, leafy greens, and beef cattle from small and underserved producers through the supply chain. The contractor will provide assistance and guidance on how to use traceability practices within the agricultural sector and information on how to incorporate small and underserved farms. They will also need to stay up to date with the latest technologies and regulations of the industry while providing recommendations for best practices in traceability. The intent is to provide the Climate-Smart Commodities project with a highly skilled, experienced and technically expert consultant that can provide the necessary set of services to accomplish the desired purpose and meet the project goals. It is important that the awarded contractor have an established network and demonstrated direct experience in supply chains for agricultural commodities.
