To streamline business processes and create a positive onboarding experience, the UA intends to select a vendor that can offer multi-faceted services to our employees and staff through a web-based portal/interface that facilitates the process at each stage of screening services. Screening services would begin once a finalist is selected for a position. The UA Division of Human Resources will coordinate all background checks in conjunction with the selected vendor. The vendor shall return background check results to Human Resources and the reports will be managed and maintained and maintained in Human Resources. The vendor shall offer tools and ongoing client support to facilitate compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and any applicable state or local jurisdictions, including a system that delivers (and documents receipt of) disclosures, authorizations, notices, and letters to candidates/employees (consumers) at the applicable process phases. Background checks are conducted only on the final candidate post-offer for each position, not on all UA applicants. Screening of current employees and volunteers is conducted only when warranted by their assignment or change in position. Not all employees or volunteers are subject to a background check conducted through the vendor.
