Bids are requested for leveling/resurfacing, striping and shoulder grading of approximately 8.29 miles/20-21 ft. wide of county roads. The installation of 9 rumble strips is also included. The roads to be resurfaced include Cedar Creek Rd., Campground Rd., Ebenezer Church Rd., Albert Rahn Rd. and Harris Kicklighter Rd. Leveling will also be required on portions of Cedar Creek Rd., Ebenezer Church Rd., and Albert Rahn Rd. at marked areas. Leveling to be done with 1½”/165 lbs. per sq. yd. of Recycled ASPH Conc. Leveling, Incl Bitum. Material & H Lime. Roads are to be Resurfaced with 1½”/165 lbs. per sq.yd. of Recycled ASPH Conc. 12.5mm Super pave GP 2 only, Incl. Bitum Material & H Lime. Apply tack coat between leveling/existing surface and topping. Contractor is required to use a shuttle buggy for resurfacing on all roads. No Deep Base Patching is required. Shoulder grading to include clipping shoulders prior to resurfacing and building shoulders to match pavement. Shoulders may be tilled and existing material used if the grade from edge of pavement to edge of shoulder doesn’t exceed 5%. Grassing is not to be used if shoulders are tilled. Grassing to include 4’ of shoulders. Stripe with solid white line on edge and solid/skip double yellow line in the center with 24” stop bars at each intersection. “High Build Paint” per GDOT specification “652 – Painting Traffic Stripe” is to be used for striping. Centerline is to be marked with temporary tape striping between resurfacing and final striping. A certification from the striping contractor verifying material and placement specifications will be required. The contractor is responsible for placing low shoulder and advanced warning signs. The contractor will be responsible for providing material pits for shoulder grading. The contractor will be given a 14 day notice to proceed.
