All work shall be in accordance with this RFP, including its attachments, and any addenda. The project objective is to (1) provide a double door steam autoclave unit and Reverse Osmosis (RO) water system that is suitable for a BSL-3 laboratory, (2) to de-install the existing steam autoclave and RO water system and to remove and properly dispose of the equipment, (3) Install the new double door steam autoclave, RO water system, connect all utilities to each system, (4) replace and repair drywall and stainless façade surrounding the autoclave, paint drywall with color matching epoxy paint, restore flooring to the autoclave equipment room to ensure that the bio seal on the contained side meets the, (5) re-install or replace access door panels to the autoclave equipment room, (6) fully test the new autoclave according to manufacturer’s recommendations, and (7) to ensure that the bio seal on the contained side has been properly tested by trained personnel who are proficient with the equipment and familiar with the appropriate testing standards. All testing of the bio-seal and the autoclave to ensure that bio-seal is performing to the required standards and that the installed autoclave is performing to the manufacturer’s requirements shall be documented and such documentation provided to the STATE.
