The replacement of 31 Water Valve boxes and 7 Sewer Manhole Rings and Lids. This shall include but not be limited to fittings, boxes, extensions, lids, asphalt repair, earthwork, soil erosion and sediment control measures, safety equipment, traffic control, and all appurtenances necessary to provide a complete installation. Any areas or structures damaged on site shall be repaired to its original conditions by the contractor to include but not limited to; asphalt, concrete, gravel, or areas covered with vegetation. All excavation work shall be in compliance with OSHA trench and excavation standards 29 CFR 1926.651 and 1926.652. Contractor shall obtain a current utility locate ticket prior to excavation. The contractor is responsible for coordinating with the City of Kinston regarding any possible water outages. Absolutely NO valves shall be turned without city staff approval.
