The CoP must meet monthly to accomplish the following duties: Identify gaps in SUD treatment services. Enhance collective knowledge of issues related to SUD. Understand evidence-based practices, best practices, and promising approaches to address SUD. Use knowledge gathered through the CoP to develop strategic plans to improve outcomes for individuals who participate in SUD treatment and related services in Minnesota. Increase knowledge about the challenges and opportunities learned by implementing strategies. Develop capacity of community advocacy. The CoP must include the following participants: Researchers or members of the academic community who are SUD subject matter experts and do not have a financial relationship with treatment providers. SUD treatment providers. Representatives from recovery community organizations. A representative from the Department of Human Services. A representative from the Department of Health. A representative from the Department of Corrections. Representatives from county social services agencies. Representatives from tribal nations or tribal social services providers. Representatives from managed care organizations. A representative from the Department of Direct Care and Treatment.
