The new Wildwood Elementary School Project consists of the construction of a new three-story PreK-5 School on the site of the existing North Intermediate School. The project consolidates three (3) aged existing elementary schools namely, the Wildwood Early Childhood Center, Woburn Street Elementary School and North Intermediate School, into a single building. The new school will be approximately 163,573 GSF three-story new construction at the rear of the site, behind the existing North Intermediate School. This concept strives for a compact building footprint while still providing small learning communities as envisioned during the planning stages. The design provides flexibility for multiple organizational concepts, currently as grade-level grouping. The building is clearly and intentionally zoned with public and private areas for safety and security reasons. The site provides adequate parking, fields, separation of cars and buses, and an access road around the building.
