MOWING AND EDGING Weekly lawn care (mowing and edging). Must be completed after school hours or on the weekend. During the summer months (Jun-July) it can be done anytime. Prior to the start of each cutting, the awarded contractor shall inspect the area to be mowed for debris or litter that will interfere with the mowing process. Litter shall be picked up and removed. Any areas too wet to mow must be cut after the area is dry or cut by weed eaters OR the grass must be mowed by the next mowing cycle. Any area that is routinely too wet must be reported to the Director of Facilities. The awarded contractor shall edge and trim along all curbs, sidewalks, walking paths, barrier walls, tree rings, fences, walls, poles, pedestals, and drainage structures. Clippings shall be cleaned off sidewalks and pavement using blower type machines the same day the trimming is done and blown towards vegetated areas. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for any damage caused by contractors’ equipment. No Chemical use under or around fences to kill grass may be used. Aeration/Fertilization treatments TREE TRIMMING AND OTHER GARDENING SERVICES Trimming should be done three times at each location to any and all Shrubbery. As needed, clean up garden areas by weeding, watering, and trimming As requested by Summit Academy (Beyond Scope of Work) plant additional bushes or other gardening needs. IRRIGATION Set zones and timers for all irrigations systems (With a Summit Academy Facility Employee. Adjust sprinkler coverage (if needed) Blow out sprinklers and winterize for off months (Additional above and beyond contract) AS NEEDED Provide quote for additional playground chips. Only scheduled after scope and quotes are approved by Summit Academy Inc. Bark and Chips cleanup around the school playgrounds (If needed) and quotes are approved by Summit Academy Inc. Sprinkler repairs and any additional Sprinkler issues. Only scheduled after scope and quotes are approved by Summit Academy Inc. Slit seeding for all playing field areas at each of the 4 locations as requested and approved by Summit Academy Inc. Reservations of Rights Any proposal not providing the required information or not conforming to the format specified in this RFP may be disqualified Summit Academy Inc reserves the right at its sole and absolute discretion (for this provision and all other provisions contained in this RFP), to: Accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all proposals with or without cause Waive any irregularity or informality in the RFP process or any proposal Make corrections or amendments due to errors identified in proposals by Summit Academy Inc or the bidder Modify and/ or amend the final contract in negotiation with the contractor Select one or more bidders to perform the services Only make renewals via written agreement between Summit Academy Inc and the vendor Hold Harmless Agreement
